Illegal Sensing Suppression Based on Clustered Subcarrier Structure in OFDM System
Integration of communication and radar enables emerging applications while causing sensing information leakage. In this letter, we propose clustered subcarrier structure to implement illegal sensing suppression (ISS) in orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems. Specifically, following the ambiguity function (AF), the proposed clustered structure exploits removable singularities in its AF to generate virtual interference, thereby deteriorating the illegal detection. The optimal parameters are further derived by minimizing proposed peak-to-virtual-interference ratio (PVIR), and the subcarrier-ISS trade-off is investigated between the number of data subcarriers and ISS capacity. Simulation results demonstrate the superior ISS of proposed approach compared to other baselines.
期刊介绍:
The IEEE Communications Letters publishes short papers in a rapid publication cycle on advances in the state-of-the-art of communication over different media and channels including wire, underground, waveguide, optical fiber, and storage channels. Both theoretical contributions (including new techniques, concepts, and analyses) and practical contributions (including system experiments and prototypes, and new applications) are encouraged. This journal focuses on the physical layer and the link layer of communication systems.
