This article summarizes 6 articles newly published in 2024 that provide important new data or insights about PIs. Articles cover a range of topics, including composition of slough, etiology of skin failure, role of zinc, and prevention and implications of PIs in people with spinal cord injury and other long-term neurological conditions. For each article, a description of the study results is provided, along with a comment on why the results are important.
