The mechanical behavior of components made of composite cross-sections essentially depends on the material properties of the components used and on their interaction in the composite. When using very thin steel profiles, the activation of the cladding in the composite cross-section is of crucial significance. To meet serviceability criteria under static loads, the effective stiffness of the yielding composite is decisive. The determination of the effective stiffness requires knowledge of the modulus of displacement of the connection. The aim was to determine and evaluate the mechanical behavior under varying moisture levels.
