Snowball sampling and individual interviews were carried out, with structured and semi-structured questions. Analysis was simple statistical, percentage and lexicographic using Alceste software.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>age ranged from 60 to 78 years, with a majority of women and difficulties in starting remote classes. There were more hours of work with overload, physical health problems due to a sedentary lifestyle and mental health problems.</p><p><strong>Final considerations: </strong>learning to use technology was understood as reinventing oneself as a professor. Collaborative work was a strategy to overcome challenges, and there was little psychological support from institutions.
