Considering the results from phylogeny, phenotypic and genotypic data, strain LB2S<sup>T</sup> (= CCTCC AB 2023230<sup> T</sup> = KCTC 8325<sup> T</sup>) represent a novel species of the genus Alicycliphilus, for which the name Alicycliphilus soli sp. nov. is proposed. A Gram-stain-negative, aerobic, motile, rod-shaped, pale yellow bacterial strain LB2ST was isolated from a plastic film greenhouse soil in Huaibei, China, and its taxonomic position was investigated using polyphasic approach.
