Higher education has been attentive to equity gaps in course grades, grade point average, and graduation and retention rates, but less so to gaps in specific academic outcomes. This study investigates how equity gaps can be measured in information literacy, a core academic competency, by conducting a case study using rubric scores of student papers. Various measures of equity gaps are employed and evaluated to provide guidance for future work in this area.
