Study finds gabapentinoid treatment does not elevate risk of self-harm
A population-based case series study has found that patients taking gabapentin or pregabalin did not experience an elevated risk of self-harm during treatment. Risk of self-harm was elevated during pre- and post-treatment periods, the investigators found. Study results were published online April 30, 2025 in The BMJ.
