A novel hexameric yttrium containing arsenotungstate nano-cluster having formula Cs5Na23[AsCOH{Y2W4O10(H2O)5-(AsW9O33)3}2].43H2O (1a) has been successfully synthesized by a one-pot reaction under mild conditions. The nanocluster 1a was isolated using Y(NO3)3.6H2O and trilacunary sodium salt of lone pair containing (AsW9O33) in 1 M sodium acetate buffer solution with pH = 4.7.
