[Optimizing a standardized management model for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease in primary healthcare institutions].
Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) affects nearly 100 million individuals in China and has become a major public health challenge. Primary healthcare institutions serve as the frontline for implementing comprehensive COPD management strategies. However, current primary care practices face multiple limitations, including inadequate screening capacity, insufficient resource allocation, suboptimal hierarchical diagnosis systems, and low public awareness of the disease. Based on policy guidance, this article explores strategies for early screening high-risk populations, optimization of hierarchical diagnosis practices, development of primary-level respiratory specialty clinics, application of artificial intelligence-assisted diagnosis, and adaptation of international experience. We explore multidimensional pathways to standardize COPD management in primary care settings, providing a reference for the prevention, control, and precision management of COPD in China.
