The research focuses on ten selected show mines, analyzing their scientific and tourism potential. The assessment modelling includes a novel evaluation model, which was utilized in order to determine the unique values and future development strategies. By examining the geological, historical, socio-economic, and tourist aspects, the study underscores the importance of sustainable tourism practices and the role of mines in local community development.
