The complete chloroplast genome sequence of Graptopetalum paraguayense (N. E. Br.) walth.1938 and phylogenetic analysis.
Graptopetalum paraguayense (N. E. Br.) Walth.1938 is a succulent plant in the family Crassulaceae, valued for its fleshy and color-variable leaves. This study assembled its complete chloroplast genome, which spans 150,040 bp with a GC content of 37.87 %. The genome contains 130 unique genes, comprising 85 protein-coding genes, 37 transfer RNA genes, and 8 ribosomal RNA genes. Phylogenetic analysis revealed a close relationship with several other Crassulaceae species, including G. amethystinum, E. chihuahuaensis, and S. rubrotinctum. These findings provide valuable genetic insights into G. paraguayense and serve as a foundation for future research.
