The absolute configuration of ganoresinosin H (<b>8</b>) was determined using the modified Mosher’s method. Drimane sesquiterpenoids from cultures of basidiomycete Ganoderma subresinosum
Nine previously undescribed drimane sesquiterpenoids, ganoresinosins A–I (1–9), were isolated from cultures of basidiomycete Ganoderma subresinosum. The absolute configuration of ganoresinosin H (8) was determined using the modified Mosher’s method. Ganoresinosin A (1) showed antimalarial activity against Plasmodium falciparum K1 (IC50 34 μM), whereas ganoresinosin E (5) exhibited antitubercular activity against Mycobacterium tuberculosis H37Ra (MIC 12.5 μg/mL).
