A retrospective review revealed continued metformin use despite prodromal fatigue and loss of appetite, likely due to impaired judgment.</p>\n </section>\n \n <section>\n \n <h3> Conclusion</h3>\n \n <p>This case may have involved septic shock, but metformin likely worsened the lactic acidosis.
