This cover illustration depicts the mechanism of alendronate-modified liposomes designed to specifically target macrophages and deliver α-KG payloads. Through epigenetic reprogramming mediated by α-KG supplementation, macrophages regain their ability to secrete BMP2, thereby promoting fracture healing processes.
