Structure and Aromaticity of Germabenzenes: A Computational Investigation
Quantum chemical calculations are carried out to investigate the structures and stability of a variety of germabenzenes. In addition, an attempt is also made to study the aromatic ring current present in these germanium analogs of benzene. Interestingly, computed nucleus-independent chemical shift values indicate the presence of significant aromatic character in the hexagermabenzene.
