How to improve the financing availability of transport SMEs? A survey based on supply chain relationship-logistics capability-information traceability1
Affected by the global economic slowdown and rising costs, many small and medium-sized enterprises(SMEs) in the transportation sector have encountered financial difficulties in recent years. Based on signaling theory, this paper mainly explores the impact of hard information and soft information on the financing availability of transport SMEs. The former is measured by business performance such as profits, market share, and revenue growth, while the latter is measured by supply chain relationship(SCR), logistics capability(LC) and information traceability(ITA). The results show that SCR, LC and ITA positively impact the financing availability of transport SMEs, while business performance plays a mediating role between SCR, LC, ITA and financing availability. In addition, the study demonstrates that environmental dynamics positively moderate the impact of logistics capability on financing availability. This finding suggests that high-level logistics capability is crucial for transport SMEs to stand out in financing, when they face external environmental turbulence and financial difficulties.

By facilitating the development of interdisciplinary or intermodal concepts, theories and ideas, and by synthesizing these for the journal''s audience, we seek to contribute to both scholarly advancement of knowledge and the state of managerial practice.
