Tularaemia is a rare infection caused by Francisella tularensis. We present three cases of ulceroglandular tularaemia. The patients were diagnosed within the same month and had possibly been exposed to the bacteria in Djursland, Denmark. All patients were treated with antibiotics for weeks. Two patients needed surgical revision of suppurative lymphadenitis before complete remission of their symptoms. Tularaemia should be considered if a patient presents with fever, ulcer and regional lymphadenopathy, especially if there is a history of tick or mosquito bites or direct contact with animals.
