This study explores the investigation of negative parity states in the odd-A nucleus 71Ga. Specifically, we focus on analyzing E2 strengths connecting the initial two negative parity states (3/2−) to the first two negative parity states (7/2−). Our findings reveal distinct characteristics of these states, with the first 3/2− state predominantly exhibiting ground band features (g), while the first 7/2− state is associated with excited band properties (e). Through a comprehensive analysis of negative parity states, we establish a clear connection between the nature of these states and their corresponding E2 transition strengths.
This investigation contributes significant insights into the behaviour of negative parity states in odd-A nuclei, offering a nuanced perspective on the distinctive features of ground and excited bands in 71Ga. Our findings advance the understanding of nuclear structure, providing a valuable contribution to the broader field of nuclear physics.
