Systemic issues, including structural biases, cultural norms, and entrenched institutional practices, persist in hindering the visibility and career advancement of female professionals. It is essential to differentiate between gender equality, which signifies equal opportunity, and gender equity, which pertains to fair access and equitable outcomes. Establishing equitable conditions is critical for enhancing women's success in orthodontics. Furthermore, the active promotion of gender equity demands the implementation of multifaceted strategies, which include comprehensive mentorship programs, targeted training in public speaking, and extensive policy reforms. For instance, presenting practical recommendations for delivering impactful presentations can significantly increase professional visibility. Additionally, analyzing global case studies pertaining to successful gender equity initiatives can yield valuable insights and inspiration. Ultimately, achieving genuine gender equity within the domain of orthodontics requires comprehensive systemic change and collaborative advocacy, while duly respecting individual preferences.
