Progress in the application of organoids for exploring the relationship between macrophages and various lung diseases.
Organoids culturedex vivomimicin vivotissue and organ characteristics. They have become a focus in research for their potential in modeling macrophage function in respiratory diseases, offering insights into disease mechanisms and therapeutic strategies. A number of studies have confirmed organoids' utility in dissecting microbial interactions, disease modeling, genetic manipulation, and high-throughput drug screening for efficacy and safety. This review summarizes the research progress on organoids in exploring macrophage involvement in pulmonary diseases.
