This overview synthesizes the current literature, emphasizing the mechanisms through which these seagrasses exert their beneficial effects. Furthermore, it addresses the environmental implications of the excessive use and abuse of conventional anti-inflammatory drugs, advocating for a shift towards natural alternatives derived from marine resources. By exploring the bioactivity of these Mediterranean seagrasses, research here collected underscores the importance of integrating marine plants into health and wellness strategies, thereby promoting both human health and ecosystem sustainability.
