Phytochemical research on the roots of Illigera celebica led to the isolation of a new aporphine alkaloid, cathafiline B (1), a new butanolide derivative, illigeralactone A (7), together with six known compounds, namely cathafiline (2), cassythincine (3), bulbocapine (4), actinodaphine (5), hernangerine (6) and isolincomolide D (8).
