The Energy Spectrum of the Excited States in Mesonic Helium
Within the framework of the variational method in quantum electrodynamics, the energy levels of the excited states in mesonic helium and Σ hyper helium have been calculated. For the calculations, a basis of exponential wave functions has been used. The leading relativistic corrections, leading radiative corrections (self-energy and vacuum polarization), and recoil corrections have been applied.
