[Robotic solution for optimizing prosthetic knee surgery].
Joint replacement surgery has made significant advancements, particularly with total knee arthroplasty, which addresses the increasing cases of osteoarthritis and rheumatic diseases. Robotics is emerging as a promising innovation, enhancing implant positioning accuracy, optimizing ligament balancing, and reducing postoperative complications. Through improved preoperative planning and artificial intelligence, robot-assisted surgery enables more precise implant alignment, minimizing the risks of premature wear and loosening. Patients benefit from faster recovery, reduced pain, and shorter hospital stays. Beyond clinical advantages, robotic surgery could lower healthcare costs by reducing readmissions and rehabilitation sessions. However, its adoption presents challenges, including surgeon training and financial accessibility. In conclusion, robotics is revolutionizing orthopaedic surgery by offering greater precision, safety, and efficiency. However, its development requires regulatory and logistical adjustments to ensure equitable patient access.
