Emerging research emphasizes the crucial role of neuropeptides in GBM and its influence on tumor progression, immune modulation, and therapy resistance. This review highlighted the importance of neuropeptides and their receptors in maintaining brain homeostasis and the glioblastoma tumor microenvironment. We discussed new therapeutic frontiers, including neuropeptide receptors as therapeutic targets, renin-angiotensin system, peptide receptor modulation, targeted cytotoxic analogs (such as Bombesin and Somatostatin), and advances in targeted radiotherapy. The review highlighted the potential of neuropeptide-based targeted therapies to improve GBM patient outcomes and suggests future research directions.
