This study explores the unique narratives of caregivers of autism spectrum disorder through a discourse analysis of academic literature. Using keyword search and purposive sampling, 11 articles are chosen for analysis. The results highlight the need to recognize caregiving for autism spectrum disorder as a distinct and valuable act rather than a secondary or assumed responsibility. Findings reveal that cultural norms, socioeconomic conditions, and systemic inequities significantly influence caregivers' experiences.
