Additionally, the hypothalamus synthesizes neuropeptides such as orexins, neuropeptide Y, PACAP, oxytocin, and vasopressin, which are all implicated in migraine mechanisms. Understanding the interplay between the hypothalamus, sex hormones, and neuropeptides offers valuable opportunities for endogenous targeted migraine therapies.
