In our study, we aimed to evaluate the relationship between liver stiffness (LS) and galectin-3 levels in patients diagnosed with prediabetes.</p><p><strong>Methods: </strong>A total of 120 participants were included in this prospective and cross-sectional study, comprising 40 patients with prediabetes, 40 patients with type 2 DM and 40 individuals with normal glucose metabolism. Human galectin-3 levels were measured using Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) with Human Galectin-3 kits. LS measurements were performed using the FibroScan® Mini 430 device (Echosens, France).</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>In our study, we found that Fib-4 index, LS and galectin-3 levels were increased in patients with prediabetes.
