Antenna performances based on distinctive thickness-dependent of flexible substrates: A comprehensive review
A flexible antenna has many benefits, including a simple structure, simple resonator control, steady performance, and improved efficiency when bent. A flexible antenna offers an additional advantage via structure integration, leading to a reduction in bulk. To date, researchers are continuously delving into novel materials that have the potential to serve as a substrate for the design and development of flexible antennas. Choosing the appropriate substrate material and thickness for the desired application is one of the fundamental antenna design principles. To put it simply, there is no definitive guideline for selecting the optimal flexible substrate to use in an antenna development within a specific frequency range. The parameters for determining the right thickness of the thin flexible substrates are not explicitly established. This review comprehensively presents an overview of a measured dataset for a number of different flexible antenna models based on thin films. It also discusses the difficulties encountered while designing the antenna up to a point when it calls for the usage of a flexible thin film of a certain thickness to meet the demands of the issues raised while maximising its potential.
期刊介绍:
in Shams Engineering Journal is an international journal devoted to publication of peer reviewed original high-quality research papers and review papers in both traditional topics and those of emerging science and technology. Areas of both theoretical and fundamental interest as well as those concerning industrial applications, emerging instrumental techniques and those which have some practical application to an aspect of human endeavor, such as the preservation of the environment, health, waste disposal are welcome. The overall focus is on original and rigorous scientific research results which have generic significance.
Ain Shams Engineering Journal focuses upon aspects of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, civil engineering, chemical engineering, petroleum engineering, environmental engineering, architectural and urban planning engineering. Papers in which knowledge from other disciplines is integrated with engineering are especially welcome like nanotechnology, material sciences, and computational methods as well as applied basic sciences: engineering mathematics, physics and chemistry.
