Here, the girl and the boy represent the metal and the ligand centre, respectively. They work cooperatively to prepare delicious food symbolizing imidazo[1,2-<i>a</i>]pyridines. This depicts how metal–ligand cooperativity has a key role in this transformation, where all the redox events occur from the ligand, and the metal acts as a template.
