The structures of the new compounds were elucidated by spectral methods such as 1D and 2D (<sup>1</sup>H–<sup>1</sup>H COSY, HMQC, and HMBC) NMR spectroscopy, together with high-resolution mass spectrometry. The isolated compounds were tested <i>in vitro</i> for cytotoxic activity against three human tumour cell lines. Cytotoxic Polyprenylated Acylphloroglucinols from Hypericum uralum
A chemical investigation on the whole plant of Hypericum uralum afforded two previously undescribed polycyclic polyprenylated derivatives, hyperuralines A and B (1 and 2). The structures of the new compounds were elucidated by spectral methods such as 1D and 2D (1H–1H COSY, HMQC, and HMBC) NMR spectroscopy, together with high-resolution mass spectrometry.
