A sensing-assisted adaptive beamforming (SABF) scheme is proposed where the transmitted beamwidth is dynamically adjusted based on sensing estimation to achieve a favorable tradeoff between beamforming gain and beam misalignment probability. To guide beamwidth optimization in network deployment, the stochastic geometry-based expressions for network coverage probability are derived, considering the beam misalignment caused by imperfect sensing estimation.
