Probing heavy-ion fusion reaction 136Xe + 64Zn in inverse kinematics
An experiment using 136Xe beam to bombard natural zinc (Zn) target was performed at Heavy Ion Medical Accelerator in Chiba (HIMAC) to investigate the fusion reaction in the near-symmetric system. The fusion-evaporation cross sections were obtained by the direct measurement of α-decay spectroscopy of the evaporation residues. In this paper, the details of the experimental setup and the extracted excitation function are presented.
