In addition to the growth advantages for potential most likely bacterial hosts of ARGs under enrofloxacin exposure, the dietary exposure to enrofloxacin promoted horizontal transfer of resistance plasmids and altered the simulated human gut antibiotic resistome in a time-dependent manner.
