Findings reveal multifaceted school mechanisms behind achievement differences: school student composition, socio-physical conditions, school management, school climate, teacher composition, and curriculum and instruction. These mechanisms operate collectively rather than in isolation, contributing to educational inequality. Understanding their interplay is crucial for researchers.
