The above article, published online on 1 January 2021 in Wiley Online Library (wileyonlinelibrary.com), has been retracted by agreement between the journal Editor-in-Chief, Kaiming Ye; the International Union of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology; and John Wiley & Sons. The retraction has been agreed due to concerns raised by third parties. Specifically, the article reports experiments in a non-verifiable cell line, BGC-803. Further investigation by the publisher has found that the article has been accepted solely based on the compromised peer review. Parts of the experimental methods in this manuscript lack sufficient detail to interpret and reproduce the findings. Additionally, the following cell lines mentioned and/or used in this study were found to be problematic/contaminated: BGC-823 [1, 2], MKN-28 [3] and SGC-7901 [1, 2]. Accordingly, the conclusions of this article are considered invalid by the editors and the article must be retracted. The authors were contacted but did not respond regarding the decision to retract.
