For this purpose, imidazolium ionic liquids functionalized ZIF-67 was designed and synthesized. The structure of functionalized ZIF-67 was investigated using various characterization techniques including FT-IR, FESEM, XRD, TGA, BET, and zeta potential. The exquisite combination of imidazolium ionic liquid and ZIF-67 generated the highly robust catalyst, which was applied as efficient catalyst for the catalytic conversion of CO<sub>2</sub> into cyclic carbonates.
