Meanwhile, patients with neurodegenerative diseases of the central nervous system are particularly at risk of malnutrition and dehydration with serious health consequences. The article presents an analysis of the main causes of malnutrition in patients with neurodegenerative diseases, and considers a clinical case of including additional nutritional support in the comprehensive management of a patient with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.
