It is used to improve clinical care, team dynamics and leadership as well as evaluate system issues and identify latent threats in the environment.</div><div>Designing a simulation, whether impromptu or planned, is crucial to its success. Considering the scenario and learning outcomes, location, equipment required and ensuring the right facilitators are available is essential. A simulation proforma can help to structure and deliver a successful session.
