CAD-CAM approaches to fixed retention have led to streamlined workflows potentially reducing manpower issues while broadening both the material and design options. The ability to customize retainers also promotes improved anatomical adaptation. These advantages may translate into improved longevity and effectiveness of CAD-CAM retainers.
