A range of planar chiral macrocyclophanes were successfully synthesized from configurationally labile macrocyclic precursors via C−H arylation with various perfluoroarenes. Mechanistic investigations indicated that the reaction proceeds via reversible oxidative addition and enantiodetermining C−H activation.
