The isothermal oxidation behavior of the coating with DB (PtAl-DB coating) was investigated at 1150 °C by comparing it with a normal PtAl coating. The results demonstrated that the PtAl-DB coating exhibited improved bonding strength of the protective oxide film and mitigated inter-diffusion between the coating and the substrate.
