Performance Analysis of Rate-Splitting Multiple Access Technique in Impulsive Noise Environments
Rate-splitting multiple access (RSMA) has emerged as a promising multiple access paradigm in wireless communications, offering improved spectral efficiency and user fairness. Despite its advantages, the performance of RSMA in impulsive noise channels has not been investigated. To bridge this gap, we derive exact closed-form expressions for the outage probability (OP) in RSMA schemes over Rayleigh fading channels. The accuracy of the analytical results is verified through numerical simulation. Finally, performance comparison with non-orthogonal multiple access demonstrates that RSMA exhibits superior interference resilience in downlink scenarios, whereas both schemes experience considerable performance degradation in the uplink scenario.
期刊介绍:
IEEE Wireless Communications Letters publishes short papers in a rapid publication cycle on advances in the state-of-the-art of wireless communications. Both theoretical contributions (including new techniques, concepts, and analyses) and practical contributions (including system experiments and prototypes, and new applications) are encouraged. This journal focuses on the physical layer and the link layer of wireless communication systems.
