In this review, orthogonal protection strategies were summarized to overcome the difficulties, such as the numerous hydroxyl groups of oligosaccharides and stereoselectivities during glycosylations. A variety of synthetic glycomics, including glycoproteins, glycolipids, and newly discovered glycoRNAs, were also presented.
