Phylogenetic analysis of the RdRp domain indicated that MoPmV1 was grouped in a cluster with members of the genus Polymycovirus in the family Polymycoviridae. Based on these characteristics, MoPmV1 is a new member of the genus Polymycovirus in the family Polymycoviridae.
