Paired <i>t</i>-tests were used to analyze the pre-, post-, and between-groups differences. <b>Results</b>: No differences were found between the groups. Significant intra-group changes were found in both groups for posterolateral balance and summation. Moreover, posteromedial balance increased in the GID group. No changes were found in ankle stability results. <b>Conclusions</b>: A balance intervention using GID or SID is effective in improving general and posterolateral balance.
