Ezetimibe, when added to statins, is now recognized as an effective option for high-risk cardiovascular patients. Ezetimibe's favourable tolerability, with fewer side effects than statins, along with the availability of fixed-dose combinations, enhances both treatment efficacy and patient adherence.
