Specifically, Figure S8 was found to have been manipulated, and the original image before trimming and scaling could not be found. As a result, it is no longer possible to determine that that subject of the image corresponds to the sample reported in the article. Additionally, Figures 2 and S2 do not correspond to what is claimed, and the images also have false scale bars, which are significantly larger than reality. The original Article was published on December 3, 2011 and was retracted on November 15, 2024.
