The above article, published online on 23 February 2016 in Wiley Online Library (wileyonlinelibrary.com), has been retracted by agreement between the journal Editor-in-Chief, Michael Geary; the International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics; and John Wiley & Sons Ltd. The retraction has been agreed following an investigation based on concerns raised by a third party. Although the paper does not specify which statistical methods were used, the editors found that numerous results could not be reproduced from the summary data using t-tests or chi-squared tests. The author was invited to comment on the concerns and provide supporting data but did not respond.
