The review includes viral infections with fever in children/infections in general, epilepsy, psychiatric diseases, multiple sclerosis, neoplasms, bone marrow/organ transplantations, total parenteral nutrition, vaccinations, oral contraceptives and other prothrombotic drugs, and gadolinium deposition. Knowledge of patients' diseases and medications they receive is crucial to establish the correct diagnosis.
